EFS Facilities Services has marked yet another milestone with the launch of its corporate social responsibility campaign, EHSAAS on May Day this year.
EFS is a people first organization and strongly strives for the well-being of its large multi-cultural workforce. May Day is celebrated as a part of world solidarity towards the blue-collar workforce and EHSAAS campaign is an ideal launchpad to pledge its support and fraternity for this community.
At EFS, May Day celebrations were initiated with a rollout of the Group CEO’s message broadcasted through all its media channels. This day was also complemented by visits of its senior management team to all project sites in Abu Dhabi and Dubai distributing temperature-controlled flasks for drinking water to more than 3,000 blue-collar workers.
The management also swapped roles with janitors and technicians helping them carry out their chores as a token of their gratitude towards them.
The celebration of May Day was further extended to a gathering at EFS Head Office with an official launch of the CSR campaign, EHSAAS. EHSAAS refers to feelings of compassion, responsibility and the drive to make a change.
Ambassadors of Hope were felicitated and chosen from among EFS’ blue-collar staff who represent diverse cultures and ethnicities and are going to communicate the campaign’s objectives to the rest of the men on ground.
The pillars of EHSAAS focus on creating a positive social impact primarily through elements like home, neighbourhood, community and public.
EFS aims to fulfil the role of its people as socially responsible individuals within its reach and beyond; making the company an ideal platform to promote CSR with a staunch reflection of its values, turning hope into unfailing actions.
EFS Group CEO, Mr. Tariq Chauhan commented: “Blue-collars make up the most dynamic and powerful segment of our 18,000 workforce. May Day is a very special day with a cause that is close to every EFSian’s heart and we take pride in dedicating this day to the ones who make our clients and the end-users experience so spotless and excellent.
On this day, we extend our solidarity and salute the boots on the ground at EFS and across the world”.
