In October 2022, an EFS employee, previously serving as a Soft Services Team Leader, had to step away from her role due to family obligations. After two years, in October 2024, she returned to the UAE, hopeful for a new beginning. With great humility, she reached out to EFS Group’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Tariq Chauhan, requesting an opportunity for both herself and her husband. To her immense relief and gratitude, Mr. Tariq not only welcomed them back into the company but did so with overwhelming kindness and support.
At the time, she was also accompanied by her one-year-old daughter, though she had not shared this detail with Mr. Tariq. When she attempted to apply for her daughter’s visa, she was devastated to learn that her current salary package did not allow her to sponsor the visa. Overcome with emotions, she explored every possible solution, only to find herself at a dead end.
A well-wisher, aware of Mr. Tariq’s generosity, encouraged her to approach him with her situation. Summoning the courage, she did just that—and the response she received left her speechless. Not only did Mr. Tariq extend his support in securing the visa for her daughter, but he also personally ensured her financial stability by increasing her salary. Driven by ambition and the desire for professional growth, she had enrolled in the NEBOSH IGC course, investing 3,000 AED from her own limited salary. Despite the financial strain, she saw it as an investment in her future.
During the Safety Champions award ceremony, Mr. Tariq became aware of her efforts and the financial sacrifice she had made. In that very meeting, he openly acknowledged her dedication and, without hesitation, instructed HR to reimburse the 3,000 AED she had paid for the course. His understanding of the challenges faced by employees, and his willingness to support their aspirations, left her deeply moved.
